Due to technical construction works, safety checks and maintenance work, the facilities at Zugspitze, in the Garmisch-Classic area, on Mount Wank as well as the cogwheel train are temporarily out of operation.

ZUGSPITZE November 17 to November 21, 2025 Zugspitze is open and can be reached by cogwheel train from Eibsee and Gletscherbahn cable car. Cable car Zugspitze from Eibsee is closed. A rail replacement service is in place between Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Eibsee. Due to roadworks, the only stop is in Grainau; there are no stops at Hausberg, Kreuzeck/Alpspitzbahn, or Hammersbach. November 22 to November 23, 2025 Zugspitze is open and can be reached as usual with Cable car Zugspitze and cogwheel train (from Garmisch-Partenkirchen). The Gletscherbahn cable car is also open. November 24 to November 27, 2025 Zugspitze is completely closed and cannot be reached. The cogwheel train runs on the valley route between Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Grainau.
