Tickets & rates

All information and prices for the winter and year-round pass, the Top Snow Card, the Garmisch-Classic summer pass and the Wankpass.

Please note: Season tickets and annual passes are currently only available on site at the ticket counters.

Garmisch-Classic season tickets

All year round or for the duration of the winter season

The following mountain railways can be used with the Garmisch-Classic season pass:

  • Alpspitz area
  • Kreuzeck area
  • Hausberg area
  • Wankbahn
  • Eckbauerbahn
  • Cogwheel train between Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Grainau (not to lake Eibsee) as shuttle to the Garmisch-Classic ski area.

With the Garmisch-Classic & Zugspitze season pass guests can access the ski and hiking areas Garmisch-Classic and Zugspitze all year round or for the duration of the entire winter season.

Top Snow Card

Multi-day passes for Bavaria & Tyrol

With the Top Snow Card, winter sports enthusiasts have the opportunity to choose which ski area they would like to visit, depending on the weather situation, snow conditions and their mood. A total of 89 lifts and numerous downhill runs are available on 215 kilometres of slopes.

Pass for small children

Garmisch-Classic ski area

Children under 6 years of age travel free of charge on cable cars and ski lifts in the Garmisch-Classic area when accompanied by their parents. For transport without parental accompaniment, however, infants require a valid ticket.

  • A winter season pass for small children can be purchased for repeated transport, for example as part of a ski course. Price: 74 euros.
  • Reduced rate: If at least one parent is the holder of a valid season pass, the price for the pass for small children is 47 euros.

The passes for small children for the 2022/2023 season are available from the start of skiing operations in the Garmisch-Classic ski area

Conditions for season tickets

Important information
  • Validity:
    • All season tickets are valid for winter sports and leisure activities only. There is no transport for daily journeys, e.g. to work or school.
    • All season tickets are only valid on the valley route from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Grainau if the cogwheel train is used as a feeder to one of our mountain railways. Exceptions to this are explicitly issued route time tickets.
    • The fee for the use of any parking spaces/parking facilities is not included in any of the season tickets. The respective parking fee must be paid separately and according to the available infrastructure.
  • Annual season ticket
    • Season ticket holders are entitled to use the facilities of Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG during operating or opening hours.
    • Excluding force majeure*, BZB ensures use for 160 days in the specified period of validity.
    • In the event of actual use that is less than the guaranteed use on the part of BZB (160 days), no pro rata refund can be made for the days not used out of the 160 days. In addition, the customer can extend the use in the specified period according to their individual possibilities.
  • Season ticket
    • The validity of a season ticket relates to the operating and opening hours of the winter or summer season on which it is based.
    • Season ticket holders are entitled to use BZB facilities during the operating or opening hours.
    • Excluding force majeure*, BZB shall ensure use for 56 days in the specified period of validity.
    • In the event of actual use that is less than the assured use on the part of BZB (56 days), no pro rata refund can be made for the days not used out of the 56 days.
    • In addition, the customer can extend the use in the specified period according to their individual possibilities.
  • Purchase of season tickets
    • If you already have a season ticket keycard, please bring it with you when you buy your new ticket! Otherwise, you can purchase your personal keycard for 6 euros at our ticket sales points. We need a recent passport photo to issue your season ticket. You can pay at all ticket offices in cash, with EC card (debit card) or with Visa and Mastercard. Please note that identification is required for families, children and youths!
  • Points of sale
    • The season tickets are available at all open ticket offices of Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG. The Wankpass is only available at the Wankbahn station and at the Zugspitzbahn station in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
    • If you ever forget your season ticket, you can purchase a discounted day ticket for the Garmisch-Classic or Zugspitze ski areas at all Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG ticket offices.

Identification is required when purchasing the tickets. All prices in Euro. Errors and price changes excepted. All tickets are non-transferable.

With the purchase of the season ticket, the General Conditions of Carriage, which are published in the respective stations, are accepted. In case of misuse, the card will be blocked immediately. It is not possible to pay extra to upgrade from the Garmisch-Classic summer pass to the winter or all-year pass.

We would like to point out that when a season ticket is used, personal data (especially on the readers) is processed for control purposes and to prevent misuse of the ticket. The data will be deleted in accordance with the legal requirements. § 8 Release from the obligation to carry

Events of force majeure, e.g. weather conditions, strikes, lock-outs, operational disruptions or unforeseeable circumstances which may impair the safety of travel operations, cause the obligation to carry to be postponed for the duration of the hindrance and a reasonable start-up time, or to lapse due to the fact that the hindrance cannot be remedied or cannot be remedied in a timely manner.

The right to carriage shall also lapse in the event of official requirements, restrictions and prohibitions.

1 Valid from the end of the spring revision period until the beginning of the autumn revision.

2 Valid for the duration of skiing operations.

3 Valid for joint purchase of season passes by at least one parent (adult price) and their own children (“child in the family” price).
