Declaration on accessibility
This declaration was created on 26.06.2025.
Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG (in short: BZB) is committed to providing barrier-free access to its website. An obligation to do so arises from the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG for short), in which the EU Directive on Accessibility (European Accessibility Act, EAA for short) is implemented.
This accessibility statement applies to the website www.zugspitze.de.
Status of compatibility with the requirements
The BZB is committed to making the information on its website accessible to people with disabilities. Nevertheless, there may still be barriers on the website. These are described in the accessibility statement. You will also find a contact here who you can contact if you find barriers on the website.
This website is partially compliant with conformance level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG 2.1” or with the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) according to Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
In order to determine accessibility, the following measures were implemented
An audit, which was carried out between 24.03.2025 and 29.04.2025, focused on a detailed and intensive examination of selected, representative page types. These are representative of the website as a whole and allow conclusions to be drawn about the accessibility of the entire website through detailed analysis.
As part of the audit, the auditors carried out a thorough analysis of all WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines. In addition, the WCAG 2.2. 3.1.5 AAA Reading Level was checked due to its high relevance. The audit was carried out using manual and tool-based test methods to comprehensively evaluate the accessibility of the website.
The Google Chrome browser was mainly used to carry out the accessibility tests. The decision as to whether tests were carried out on desktop, mobile devices or both was made depending on the respective WCAG 2.2 AA guideline and based on its relevance and applicability. PDFs and third-party content were excluded from the test.
The measures identified in the audit will be implemented in the period from 10.06.2025 to probably 30.09.2025. As the implementation of the measures has not yet been completed, the content and functions listed below are not yet fully accessible:
