Walk-around-Dinner
in the Panorama 2962 restaurant
On June 27, 2026, Germany's highest peak will become perhaps the most spectacular culinary destination of the summer: The Kitchen Party on the Zugspitze invites you to an exclusive walk-around dinner at the Panorama 2962 restaurant in the Zugspitze summit station.
The host for the evening is Manuel Bunke, head chef at the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn, together with his team. He will be supported by renowned guest chefs: Sven Karge from the Boutiquehotel Werdenfelserei, Georg Strohmeyer from the Hotel Zugspitze, and the team from Chefs Culinar. Together, they will transform the entire restaurant into a stage for craftsmanship, quality, and culinary diversity.
From 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., guests can enjoy a culinary journey through four countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy. At seven cooking stations, the teams present 14 modern interpretations of Alpine and Mediterranean classics—high-quality, creative, and with loving care to detail. Instead of a set menu, the idea here is to stroll around, sample, strike up conversations, discover your favorite dish, and then move on to the next stand.
Guests move freely around the room, chat with the chefs, peek into the pots, and sample sophisticated compositions and modern interpretations of classic dishes. It is an evening that creates closeness—between the kitchen and the guests, between enjoyment and experience. From 8:30 p.m., a DJ provides relaxed beats with a view of the peaks, while outside, the evening atmosphere slowly descends over the Alps.
For € 189 per person, guests can enjoy this exceptional package, which includes the ascent and descent, meals at all stations, and a carefully selected range of beverages, from aperitifs, wine, and beer to non-alcoholic drinks and coffee. Free parking at Cable car Zugspitze is also included. Exclusive cocktails and spirits are available at an additional cost.
Tickets are expected to be available for booking from mid-March.

5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.: Ascent with the Cable car Zugspitze (alternatively, ascents are also possible during normal operating hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.)
From 5:30 p.m.: Admission to the “Panorama 2962” restaurant, Aperitif on the summit terrace or in the restaurant, depending on the weather
6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.: Food service at the seven stations with 14 dishes in the restaurant
From 8:30 p.m.: DJ at the Gipfelblick
9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.: Downhill rides with Cable car Zugspitze
It is not possible to reserve tables at the Kitchen Party. Instead of a set, served menu, guests move freely around the room between the seven stations.
There will also be various vegetarian dishes available at the kitchen stations.
We cannot guarantee that intolerances (e.g. lactose, gluten) will be taken into account.
As this is an exclusive evening event outside of regular opening hours, no separate tickets are available for season or annual pass holders.
Event visitors are requested to use the parking lots at Cable car Zugspitze and Eibsee train station. Parking tickets are included in the ticket price. Please take a parking ticket when entering—the barriers will be open after the event has ended. We can only offer this service at the above-mentioned parking lots.
Please note that after the event, there will be no more cogwheel trains or buses running from Eibsee to Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

- Participants must be aged 16 or over.
- We ask for your understanding that dogs are not allowed on the Zugspitze due to the special circumstances there.
A photographer will be present at the event to take photos for the press and public relations work of the Bavarian Zugspitzbahn, in which guests may be visible. If you do not wish to be photographed, please speak to our photographer in person.
