Garmisch-Classic with limited offer
Reduced prices until the end of the season
Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG is reducing the ski ticket prices in the Garmisch-Classic ski area from Thursday, March 21. This is due to restrictions caused by the lack of snow, which split the area in two. From Thursday, 30.50 euros will apply for a morning ski pass; 36.00 euros for a day pass. The last scheduled day of operation is Easter Monday, April 1st, 2024.
Transition from Hausberg to the Kreuzeck/Alpspitz area no longer possible
In Garmisch-Classic, the severe lack of snow in places is challenging ski resort managers: Unfortunately, as of Thursday, March 21, no connection can be maintained between the lifts around the Hausberg and the lifts around the Kreuzeck. However, both areas of the ski resort are still in operation with the majority of the lifts. Guests must therefore decide in advance whether they want to ski in the Hausbergbahn area with the children's area or in the Kreuzeckbahn and Alpspitzbahn area.
Due to the closure of all slopes to the Kandahar Express ski lift because of the lack of snow, it can no longer be operated. There is therefore no possibility for skiers to switch from the Hausberg ski lifts to the Kreuzeck/Alpspitz area. However, it is still possible to cross over from Kreuzeck to Hausberg via the "Mittlere Skiweg".
The cogwheel train connects both parts of the area: it runs between the two cable car valley stations on a regular schedule. Every hour at XX:17, the cogwheel train runs from Hausberg to Kreuzeck (travel time 7 minutes), every hour at XX:37, the cogwheel train runs from Kreuzeck back to Hausberg.
