The Garmisch-Classic ski area can start this year's winter season next Friday, December 15, 2023 with numerous slopes. At the start of the season, the three major cable cars, Hausbergbahn, Kreuzeckbahn and Alpspitzbahn, go into operation.

Almost all lifts and slopes below the Kreuzeck can be opened; in the higher Alpspitz area, the Osterfelderkopflift and the Hochalmweg are initially open.  With the Kochelberg run at Hausberg, the Olympia run and the Kandahar (probably without start and Trögl section) at Kreuzeck, three valley runs will also be open. Cogwheel train goes into regular operation at the start of the season

The cogwheel train is also expected to begin regular operations from December 15, 2023. The Garmisch, Hausberg and Kreuzeck-/Alpspitzbahn train stations will be served again as usual. The Riffelriß stop can also be used now, and the Riffelriß ski slope at the foot of the Zugspitze is open.

Avoid waiting times with online tickets

With online tickets (pickup ticket with collection from the ticket machine on site), guests can avoid waiting times at the ticket offices. Alternatively, an existing KeyCard can be reloaded up in the online shop. If sales stop, guests with online tickets will of course be transported.

Winter opening times Mount Wank

The Wankbahn cable car starts operating at Christmas and is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from December 25, 2023 to January 7, 2024. When the snow conditions are good, guests can use the prepared toboggan runs on Mount Wank.

Parking management remains the same as last year

The management of the parking spaces begins with the start of ski operations. Parking costs five euros per day at all BZB parking areas. The parking fees apply to every car, regardless of which ticket the guest purchases. Annual and season ticket holders have the exclusive opportunity to purchase a season parking ticket worth 45 euros.
