Garmisch-Classic opens with first ski lifts and reduced ticket prices
Garmisch-Partenkirchen. After Zugspitze, the Garmisch-Classic area is now opening its first slopes in the 2024/2025 winter season.
On opening day, Friday, December 13, the Hausbergbahn cable car with the Kreuzwankl-Ski-Express, the conveyor belt in the childrens area, the two Rimmlermoos lifts and the Trögllift as well as the Kandahar-Express are expected to go into operation. The upper section of the Olympia downhill run will open as far as the Kandahar-Express valley station.
The Drehmöser 9 and Garmischer Haus restaurants and the T-Bar will also open at the start of the season to cater for ski guests in the area. Other restaurants will then open in parallel with the corresponding slopes.
Currently reduced rates until further lifts open
The Bayerische Zugspitzbahn is offering special rates in Garmisch-Classic until further lifts and pistes open:

The Kreuzeckbahn, Alpspitzbahn and Hochalmbahn cable cars should be open by the start of the Christmas vacations on Friday, December 20 at the latest. Depending on the snow and weather conditions, further lifts and pistes as well as the valley runs will be opened successively.
