Three ski mountains for unique winter fun
Above the well-known winter sports resort Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a varied ski area stretches between the three mountains Hausberg, Kreuzeck and Alpspitze. The Garmisch-Classic area combines passion for winter sports and long tradition as venue for major sporting events. It impresses with its legendary pistes, modern infrastructure and four valley runs.
Families and beginners enjoy a gentle introduction to their new hobby on the easy to moderate slopes at Hausberg. A children's area with a practice course encourages even the little ones to exercise in the snow. Attractive pistes also await below the Alpspitz summit with one of the most impressive panoramas in the northern Alps. In order to enjoy the long-distance view in peace and quiet, it is also worth visiting the AlpspiX viewing platform at Osterfelderkopf. Experienced skiers carve their turns on the famous Kandahar. Every year, the stars of the Alpine Ski World Cup race down here at top speed. Anyone who has managed the black slope no. 5 definitely deserves a refreshment in the ski bar Kandahar 2 at the valley station of the Kreuzeckbahn. With the rustic ski hut Drehmöser 9 and the neighboring Garmischer Haus, there are more places to stop off at Hausberg to enjoy and relax.
