On December 2, 2022, the first ski lift will go into operation at Zugspitze.

The ski season at Zugspitze starts on Friday, December 2nd, 2022. Due toless snow, only one lift - the Sonnenkar chairlift - and one slope can be opened in the natural snow area.

Due to the low capacity, only a strictly limited contingent of ski passes is available every day. The ski passes can be bought in advance in the online shop. In addition, season and annual pass holders can use the facilities as usual with their ski pass.

Pedestrians can buy tickets for the Zugspitze on site at any time, even if the contingent of ski passes in the online shop is exhausted.

At the start of the 2022/23 winter season, guests no longer have to observe any special corona measures. However, it is still recommended to wear a mask in the large cabins of the cable car and in the cogwheel train.
