On the path of knowledge

The Glacier Adventure Trail is a joint project shared by the Bayerischer Zugspitzbahn, Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, the German Weather Service, Schneefernerhaus Environmental Research Station and the Bavarian State Office for the Environment. It can be reached from the Sonnalpin Glacier Restaurant in ca. fifteen minutes and the various stations can be explored in any order. You will need sturdy shoes!

Alpinpark Zugspitze

Time for rocks

Children inherently love to climb, so the Alpinpark Zugspitze is definitely the perfect place for them. A climbing wall and a daring suspension bridge teach balance and agility, while the MinispiX viewing platform offers incredible views of the Zugspitze Plateau when they take a break.

Adult mountain fans can of course also get their first experience of rocky terrain in the Alpinpark. Or indulge their tastebuds in the Sonnalpin glacier restaurant or the Gletschergarten, while the little ones play and discover their climbing talent.
