Breakfast at Mount Wank
Enjoy breakfast on the panoramic mountain
Starting the day not only with culinary delights, but also with the best views? Our guests can do that on the breakfast trip up to Mount Wank. From May to October, the Wankbahn cable car takes you up to the summit every day from 8:45 a.m., where a hearty breakfast and a fabulous view of the surrounding mountains await at restaurant Sonnenalm.
Breakfast will take place daily between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. and includes a scrambled egg made from three local eggs, homemade jam, butter, a pretzel croissant, fresh farmhouse bread and a hot drink of your choice.
In addition, a daily newspaper is available for you in the Sonnenalm.
The ascent with the Wankbahn cable car is possible from 8:45 a.m. Tickets for breakfast on Mount Wank are available until 6 p.m. the day before.
Tickets:
- 35.00 euros for adults | 17.50 euros for children
- Combination tickets for breakfast can only be booked online.
Booking is possible three days in advance and up to 6 p.m. the day before. - Guests who already have a cable car ticket (e.g. season and annual pass holders) can order regular dishes from the Sonnenalm breakfast menu.
Whether on warm summer days on the large terrace of the Sonnenalm, or on cooler days in the cozy Sonnenstüberl, the location impresses with its all-round view of the entire Alpine panorama in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. After a leisurely breakfast you can enjoy the day on the hiking trails on Mount Wank.
