The best from four countries

The brand-new restaurant is an excellent reason to visit the Zugspitze. At an altitude of almost 3,000 m above sea level, the versatile restaurant is an architectural treat. It will serve typical specialities from the Alpine region, garnished with rich panoramic views. 

It’s one milestone after another on Germany’s highest mountain. Following the opening of the state-of-the-art Zugspitze cable car in December 2017, the completely new restaurant area on the summit opened in spring 2018. With the opening of the new Panorama 2962, these impressions – spectacular ascent and culinary delights – merge into one outstanding overall experience. Food lovers can expect an innovative dining concept in keeping with honest fusion cuisine. From quick coffees and snacks to refined meals and group celebrations, conferences and concerts: the different areas and multifunctional spaces mean everything is possible.

Alpine treats for every taste

In reference to the panoramic views of 4 countries offered by the Zugspitze, the culinary motto is “the best from 4 countries”. Specialities and products from Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Germany showcase the delicious variety of the Alpine region on the menu. In this context, regional means that the ingredients and inspiration come from no more than 250 km away. There is also a heavy focus on organic and GQB (quality assured from Bavaria) certification, and on fair trade.
