About the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG

The Bayerische Zugspitzbahn has made the adventure mountain around Germany’s highest peak accessible for everyone. With their close proximity to Munich and easy access by car or train, the Zugspitze, Garmisch-Classic area and panoramic Mount Wank are an attractive destination. A modern service company with 27 cable car and lift systems in the mountain worlds of Zugspitze, Garmisch-Classic and Mount Wank, it transports alpine enthusiasts to almost 3,000 metres above sea level. Winter sports lovers of all disciplines and levels of ability are able to take full advantage of two ski resorts and 60 kilometres of slopes. Advanced skiers relish the added challenge of the legendary Kandahar-Downhill. Novice skiers can look forward to beginner friendly pistes and children to the “Kinderland” at Hausberg. Climbers, day-trippers, families with children and senior citizens all find what they are looking for in summer. Be it high alpine climbing tours, hikes in every level of difficulty or a visit to the spectacular AlpspiX viewing platform, alpine enthusiasts of all ages are always accompanied by a breathtaking mountain panorama at the Zugspitze.
